We just finished this century home bathroom. We took this empty room and turned it into a open concept master en-suite. A huge thank you goes out to @theplumberswife238 for supplying all the beautiful bathroom fixtures, and drawings @coverups_fergusarthur for all the tile supplies @coffey.plumbing.kts for all the plumbing work. @hhbcarthur for the building supplies and frosted doors. I know for most families, including my own, thinking about giving a donation while we’re stuck at home and not working in this pandemic may not seem like a top priority. But it’s the families that don’t get to stay home together and stay safe that we need to really think about. Our front line workers in all industries. Men and women putting themselves in the middle of the pandemonium risking catching the Covid19 virus on a daily basis. At TSCR Carpentry and I’m sure at most ...small businesses, we can’t thank you enough. Now, as many of us have heard on the news, the hospitals are concerned about the amount of PPE equipment they may need. In order to keep patients safe, we need to make sure our front line staff in all hospitals stay safe themselves. And a way to do so, if you can, is to donate to any local hospital. I have attached a link with this message, so anyone wanting to give ANY donation, big OR small can easily find where to do so. As the owner of TSCR Carpentry, I’ll be donating $250.00 to local hospitals in support. I encourage everyone who has the ability to donate even a little bit to do so and make sure our front line staff are able to be properly protect themselves as they care for anyone in need, so they too can go home and enjoy their family’s by staying healthy. A quick happy story in the middle of this pandemic. Wednesday morning I gave my neighbour a ride down to the local coffee shop (A-La-Mode) where he and his wife have been going every day for years. They would meet friends and sit and enjoy each other’s company. The coffee shop was on take out only, so they were stripped of that morning chatter due to COVID-19. ... As we drove down to the store, I asked where his wife was today, he said waiting at home for me to come back with coffees. I replied with: this pandemic must be throwing a hiccup in their morning routine.. and all he said to me was, even if we can’t sit and enjoy our coffee in store like usual, we still need to support the local business so they can stay afloat. And I’ve been thinking about this statement a lot since Wednesday. As a local small business owner myself, it stuck with me and made me realize that it’s people like my neighbours who will help these small businesses get through these tough times. Shop local and support local business in these hard times. Thank you to the rest of the local supporters out there. I hope everyone stays safe, enjoy your day everyone!

Last fall we finished this siding project. After removing all the old siding, and front porch, we installed insulation board on the exterior of the home to help with heat loss. This is a great way to make the home energy efficient without tearing anything out on the inside. We built and finished this new front porch, complete with new black structural posts and a black Regal Railing system. A new dark brown steel roof was installed, and with the subtle but classy siding colour it makes this old century home really come back to life and shine on its corner lot. There’s nothing better then working for great people in great weather.
