Black Forest Cake was my all time favourite cake as a teenager (not yesterday). Chocolate layers of goodness, filled with cherries & whipped cream & chocolate curls on top, makes this cake fit for any celebration.

It's soup season & I couldn't be happier. This roasted vegetable soup started with butternut & delicate squashes, leeks, onions, carrots, celery & garlic. All from local farmers.

Last night I started a preferment & tossed it in the fridge overnight. Today some bread & whole wheat flours were added with a touch of salt and some water. Such humble ingredients!
