The Rocky Mountain House RCMP are actively trying to locate missing 13-year-old Phersayiss Goodrunning who has been missing since New Years Day.... Phersayiss was last seen in Caroline on Jan. 1 and it is possible that she is in the Rocky Mountain House area or on the Sunchild First Nation. The RCMP wish to verify her wellbeing. Feb. 2, 2021 Innisfail RCMP seeking assistance to locate missing male Innisfail, Alberta- The Innisfail RCMP is asking for the public’s assistance in locating 79-year-old Louis Armstrong. Louis was last seen in the town of Innisfail on Feb. 1, at approximately 6:30 p.m. Family believe that Louis was travelling in to Red Deer.... Louis is described as, 5’10, 201lbs with grey hair and blue eyes. He is believed to be wearing blue pants, blue shirt and a black vest Louis was believed to be travelling in a 2019 black Dodge pickup truck bearing Alberta license plate NUW043. The Innisfail RCMP is concerned for Louis’ wellbeing and are requesting the public’s assistance in locating him. High Prairie, Alta. The High Prairie RCMP can confirm that Scott Tomlinson (47) has been located deceased. Scott was reported missing on Dec. 24, 2020 and High Prairie began investigating his whereabouts. His body has been located and the RCMP have no indication that there is any criminality involved in his death. The High Prairie RCMP would like to thank the public and the media for their assistance.

Our member's take part in Basic Ground Search and Rescue Knots and Ropework Training on Wednesday November 18th, 2020. The team learned about ropes, webbing and pulley systems that can be used in areas of ground search and rescue deployment.

Since being reported missing, several searches were conducted throughout Lloydminster, leading to the discovery of her body. There is no indication that any criminality was involved in her death. Maskwacis, Alta. The RCMP have confirmed that the human remains found on Feb. 24, 2020 on the Ermineskin First Nation are those of Willard Swampy. Willard Swampy (55) was reported missing to Wetaskiwin RCMP on Nov. 28, 2019. Efforts were made to locate him. Wetaskiwin reported his disappearance initially to the media on Dec. 3, 2019 and then again on Jan. 9, 2020. The RCMP were not able to confirm this information prior to positive identification being established with the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. No further information will be provided.

She is known to frequent the Siksika Nation, but is still believed to be in the Brocket area. Edson, Alta. On Nov. 9, 2020, Edson RCMP attended to investigate a suspicious circumstance in an outbuilding at a rural residence located 10 km east of Edson. Edson RCMP attended the location and located a male deceased in an outbuilding, where it appears the male had taken shelter. The Edmonton Office of the Chief Medical Examiner completed an autopsy on the male. On Nov. 17, 2020, the Edmonton Officer of the Chief Medical Examiner was able to confirm the identity of the m...ale as a previously missing person, Mark Lund, who was last seen in the Edson area in September 2020. The circumstances of Lund’s death are not believed to be suspicious. No further updates are anticipated.
