As I organize and pack up your orders today, I’m feeling the need to express my gratitude! Thanks to all for supporting me and making my Grand Opening weekend so memorable! Thank you to @craftrevivaltbay and @artisansnorthwest for hosting the inaugural #virtualcraftmarkets that gave me the incentive to finally build and open a website. ... If you stopped by this weekend, thank you! And if you didn’t find what you were looking for, I’ll feature some new items at the next shop update: Sunday, November 29th at 10 am.
Introducing shibori and indigo-dyed raw silk scarves! I’ve added four of these beauties to the site today. Raw silk is unlike any other fabric I’ve encountered! It’s texture is really special and somewhat hard to describe nubbly, velvety, luxurious, matte, etc. Dyeing with indigo is a special process, it requires care and attention, and relies on centuries-old knowledge. ... Dyeing fabric using Japanese Shibori methods is also a unique and magical process, referring to the time-honoured preparation of fabric pre-dyeing: clamping, twisting, and tying used by craftspeople around the world, and originating in Japan. Basically, a special fabric, with special dye, and special dye-techniques = a super special scarf! I’m offering contactless pick-up until 3 pm Dec. 24th. Stay safe everyone!
Hey everyone! It’s been a week , but there’s nothing more exciting than the thought of finally revealing all my seasonal treasures to you all this weekend at the new shop site!!!! . . . Details soon!

As we shift into the traditionally craft-market-frenzied time of year, I’m relishing the gentle, slowed-down pace of working in response to current events. I don’t make things so that I can sell them. I create because I need to! It’s a passion thats always been there. Finding room in my life to focus my research and practice in textiles to plant-dyes, weaving, and sustainable garment construction has taken a long time. But I’m really happy to be here! I find all things ...textiles irresistible, for as long as I can remember I’ve been sewing: clothing for my stuffed animals, altered clothing for my high-school wardrobe, and one-of-a-kind designs for my friends. As a life-long student my studies have ranged from Textiles to Fine Arts, Art History, and Social Justice. Most recently I’ve decided to add chemistry knowledge to my plant-dye practice, and taken residence abroad to learn hands-on about my Scandinavian textile heritage. Now more than ever, my work is inspired by my boreal forest surroundings and a passion to create environmentally-friendly, up-cycled, eco and plant-dyed works of art and clothing, while connecting to communities in the process! And, if in that pursuit I can create a sustainable living for myself as well, then, what could be better? See more
