Here are some of the final results from the Raku firing!

This month we have challenged our studio members to make their very first teapot! This involves four parts - the body, the spout, the lid, and the handle. What becomes difficult is making all of these parts come together in one functional composition - a body that is not too heavy and hard to handle; a lid that not only fits tightly, but dries and shrinks at the same rate of the body; and a spout that pours nicely and doesn’t drip. We want your help in deciding who wins this challenge and receives 3lbs of porcelain clay. At the end of the month, we will be posting our potters creations so stay tuned to cast your vote!
