The Turnout Stables riding school was opened by Debbie Williams at the Williams Family Farm in 1995, and has been operating ever since, creating lasting memories for riders of all ages, including hundreds of Kemptville residents over the years. With the rapid spread of the Covid-19 pandemic now reaching Canada, Turnout Stables has had to close its doors in order to reduce the risk of spreading the virus throughout the community. The lesson program has come to a sudden and com...plete halt, and the Williams’ family has lost ALL lesson income as a result. Obviously, the farm must continue to operate, and the lesson horses must continue to receive the care and feed that they need and are accustomed to. So, while the farm expenses are unchanged, there is no lesson revenue to offset to them. As a result, we are reaching out to members of our community and local businesses to request their support in sponsoring a Turnout school horse during this ongoing health crisis. The sponsorship would entail a monthly fee of $120 per school horse, and all funds raised would go directly to the care and feeding of the horse. In recognition of your assistance, Turnout would be proud to display your company logo on the Turnout website and Facebook page, including a link (URL) to your corporate website if desired. All sponsors would receive a framed picture of the sponsored horse (with the option to join the horse for a photo and once the restriction has been lifted and the business re-opens), and a certificate of Sponsorship Recognition for display at your business. Those who sponsor a horse for two or more months will also receive a free 30 minute private riding lesson. We would be very grateful to have your support during this difficult time. Now that cold and flu season is upon us and the threat of COVID-19 remains, we wish to remind everyone that there are protocols implemented at the barn that everyone is to follow. As noted on the various signage found both outside and inside the barn, masks/face coverings are required to be worn inside the barn at all times and you must sign in and properly sanitize your hands upon entry. This is a requirement for ALL individuals who enter the barn, and not just riders. If y...ou are experiencing any symptoms associated with COVID-19 such as a fever, cough, difficulty breathing, sore throat, have travelled outside of Canada within the past 14 days or been exposed to a positive or probable positive COVID-19 case - please do not come to the barn. If needed, lessons may be reschedule by contacting Debbie directly. To ensure we can continue to offer a safe and healthy environment for our workers, boarders, students and residents on the farm, it is important that we all work together collectively and follow all rules that have been set in place.
