She was fleeing an abuser and we sheltered her for a few hours from the man she was afraid of. He eventually left the area after he realized he was not going to get near her. She had no belongings and nowhere to go. We called your organization and an amaz...ing person guided us on how to best support her. Transportation was needed and the only option was a police officer. We requested a female officer who arrived and was very caring. As far as we know, the woman was transported to your shelter. That incident always stuck with me.
