JAXX IS HOME Owner came home from work and he walked up to her truck. He is skinny and has some quills in his face. He is now resting comfortably snugg...led up with his extremely happy family !!!! STILL MISSING. Sightings in Tamworth were NOT him. Starting from the beginning again. DECEASED GERMAN SHEPHERD Aug 18/20 - Tweed, ON Body has not been removed yet as per MTO, moved to side of the road. No tags. Found dog on hwy 7 near Black Rive...r road (note that dog has been reunited). The other dog was hit by a vehicle and didn't make it. This dog was standing in the middle of the road beside the dog that was hit. My mom couldn't move the dog as it was to heavy. Opp called MTO to remove dog from road The dog that got hit doesn't have the same owners The GSD had on a blue collar. Animal Control picked up these 2 odd buddies. They had been travelling on Concession Road, Madoc and are now at the pound. UPDATE: As I post this, the owner is at the pound claiming her two dogs. Yes, they are a bonded pair, and had quite a trek this morning, it seems.

Not even for 10 minutes, as damage can begin to... occur...and when it is THIS hot, your dog could get heatstroke and actually perish in that small time frame. Be kind, leave them behind...safe at home. And in short, you see an animal in immediate danger, 911 IS the go-to number!! Please read below for further info. Please ensure your pet has lots of water on hand whether home, lounging in the yard with you, or out for a walk with you, and of course when possible, walk when it is cooler. Finally, always check to see how hot the pavement/sidewalks are. Guaranteed on any day like this, it's too hot for their paws! The warm weather is here! We are making an effort to remind pet owners of the dangers of leaving pets unattended in a vehicle during the hot summer months. We are trying to bring awareness to our area on how it is morally and criminally wrong to leave your pet in a hot car, and what you the public can do about it! Dogs have a limited ability to sweat; even a short time in a hot environment can be life-threatening. A dog's normal body temperature is about 39C and a temperature of 41C can be withstood only for a very short time before irreparable brain damage or even death can occur. Want to know HOW HOT it gets inside your car, even if you crack your windows? 24C=48C, 25C=50C, 27C=59C, 32C=62C, 34C=63C. 21C is TOO HOT for your dog in your car, period. Humane Society and Animal Control employees can NOT attend the scene as they cannot legally enter a vehicle. Take a photo of the dog in the car and the license plate. If the owners leave the scene before help arrives you can file a report with the new number so they can follow up. HOW TO TREAT A DOG FOR HEATSTROKE: Many hot pet campaigns tell you what to do if you see this crime happening, which is classed as animal cruelty. Dogs (and cats) cool themselves by panting and by releasing heat through their paws. On summer days the air and upholstery in your vehicle can heat up to high temperatures that make it impossible for pets to cool themselves. Your dog will be more comfortable if left at home. Heatstroke symptoms include: Exaggerated panting (or the sudden stopping of panting); rapid or erratic pulse; salivation; anxious or staring expression; weakness and muscle tremors; lack of coordination; tongue and lips red (which may eventually turn bluish in colour); convulsions or vomiting; Collapse, coma and death. **Update: Buddy has been found. A neighbour a few houses from us, found him injured in her backyard. His leg seems to be hurt. Hopefully with some rest he will ...be ok. Thank you to everyone that shared this post and helped look for him. I have two very happy boys now that their cat has come home :) MISSING CAT Our cat BUDDY was last seen on Sunday. He is an outdoor cat and usually leaves for a day or two but always comes home. He has been gone for too long this time. Buddy is an orange, fixed male cat. He is a bigger cat and very friendly. He is no longer wearing the collar that is in the picture. He lost it just before he went missing. If you see him or know where he might be, please PM me or comment on this post. It has been 11 months since he went ...missing and people still care so much! I repeat "NOAH HAS NOT BEEN FOUND" but we are still looking! Please do not send any money. I do not know the origin of this post and I am currently investigating. PLEASE CONTINUE TO LOOK FOR NOAH. Our family desperately misses him.
