With Halloween fast approaching we want to send out some friendly reminders to our clients.... Costumes can be cute but can also cause discomfort....do not over due it! Spooky decorations especially noise makers can be scary and cause stress to our furry friends....... Not all Trick or Treaters are Welcomed! Dogs may not react the same as we do when children dressed up knock on our doors so be sure your pet is contained in a safe zone for themselves and for the kiddos. Keep cats indoors not all people love animals like we all do an unfortunately intentional harm could happen especially with black cats. Check your pets ID tag before heading out! In case the dog gets away during the walk or your cat sneaks out the door make sure the microchips are registered or tags are on the collars. Candy will be available but don’t let your pet ingest it. Most people know chocolate can be toxic to dogs but other candies can also cause risks to both cats and dogs. Jack-O-Lanterns and dry ice can cause danger for pets so keep in mind while choosing decorations, also electrical can be a risk for fires so make sure you choose pet friendly decor. We constantly are being asked by our clients how the transition to a new diet should start, and for how long. We also want to work with you and our hospital teams to limit direct contact in order to focus on safety for everyone during this pandemic. Admittance and check-out When arriving at our clinic, we ask that you follow the below steps for the safety of all: Upon arrival at the clinic, please remain in your vehicle or outside the clinic and call us. Product availability We have been in constant contact with the suppliers and manufacturers responsible for ensuring our clinic has enough supply of veterinary diets and over the counter products, and we do not anticipate any disruption to this supply. However, instances of buying large quantities of these products have strained the supply chain unnecessarily. We respectfully request that our clients limit their purchases of these products to immediate need plus one months supply to ensure all clients and patients have access to these products. As the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve, we will adapt and change. EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY! To help prevent the spread of COVID-19 we are changing our hours to Monday through Friday 9:00 to 5:00 and Saturdays will be 8:30 to 12:00. This is in effect as of today and will continue until April 5th at least. We also ask clients to pay for appointments by credit or debit to save the handling of cash. If you are in need of food or prescriptions please call in advance and we will get the order ready for a pick up time.
