In May 2004, the CRA confirmed that insulin pump users, both adults and children, whose diabetes could not be controlled with multiple daily injections of insulin, and for whom insulin pumps were a medical necessity, were considered eligible for the Disability Tax Credit under the Life Sustaining Therapy criteria.

It is important to know that as per Revenue Canada, to be deductible, the expenses regarding motor vehicles must be accompanied by a statement with the total traveled kilometers during the year and those travelled for business. This statement must contain, for each travel, the date, the destination, the distance travelled as well as the reason for travel.
