And we can carry those feelings with us anywhere and at anytime. I hope the melody and the poignant lyrics of this song weaves its way through your hearts like it has ours. You may need to get a box of Kleenex, just sayin! WHY YOU JUST MIGHT CRY... With the help of fellow Newfoundlander, Vaughn Harbin, I believe we captured the essence of what most of the world is feeling, this year, as Christmas approaches. The special melody of this song, well, let's just say it was heaven sent to me from God, while I was brushing my teeth one morning, literally! I raced to my iPhone and opened up VoiceNotes and recorded the verse and chorus as if it was downloaded from the heavens! Thanks for always havin' my back, God! We all feel a sense of longing for quality time with our family and loved ones, we all miss our usual traditions that bring us closer in person and in spirit, and I'm certain we will all miss the cozy conversations and laughs around the dining room table after indulging in a feast of turkey and homemade cookies, shared by all. I seriously want to cry just thinking about it. SO, this is why I felt especially compelled this year to write my own original Christmas song that I hope will articulate what many are feeling, this 2020, and to bring a sense of Christmas love and togetherness through the universal language and power of music. CBC Newfoundland and Labrador THIS MORNING!!! This morning I had the great pleasure of being interviewed on the CBC NL, Morning Show by Krissy Holmes. She shared with me that there was a buzz around the studio afterwards and that it's already a 'home run'. Thank You to my awesome Publicist, Eric Alper who's already getting me interviews and radio station shout out opportunities! HUGE THANKS to... my Guitarist, Jesse Fegleman who came up with the soothing guitar accompaniment and who also arranged a beautiful Cello part for my talented friend, Erika Nielsen who plays right from the heart. Dima Graziani, is my uber talented recording engineer and producer. Not only did he make us all sound extra magical, he also filmed and edited this lovely, cozy video. This DREAM TEAM has not only helped me produce a beautiful Christmas tribute but, an entire album of original music that will be released some time in 2021! I'm completely in love with how meaningful this music is. It's been a very healing and blessed experience. Hard to believe it’s that time of year again! This has been a different one for us all! Twillingate Museum has been delighted to welcome so many NL families to our museum this season! We have also dearly missed our Come From Away friends! We will be closing- September 26th and there will be NO Christmas sale this year due to restrictions so if you want that unique gift for that special someone, come visit This week!
