Job Description We are a civil construction firm that is growing and currently recruiting for an experienced water and sewer Pipe Layer /Top Man to join our company with the following skills. Must be knowledgeable in areas of underground water and sewer construction. Required Skills:... Have a minimum 3 years of experience in pipe laying Monitor the elevation and grade of all pipe being installed Cut and bevel pipe Rig all materials to be lowered into ditch Line up service connection locations, catch basins, and man holes. Install or repair sanitary or storm water sewer structures or pipe Install or use instruments such as lasers, grade rods, or transit levels. Grade or level trench bases, using tamping machines or hand tools. Lay out pipe routes, following written instructions or blueprints and coordinating layouts with Foreman. Understand elevations and grading Ability to safety work around excavation equipment including excavators, loaders, packers, etc. Strong communications and able to work with others. Dedicated and committed to production and safety. Should possess the following: CSTS Certification (mandatory) Confined space First aid Ground Disturbance In this role you will report directly to the Site Foreman and work collaboratively with the project team to efficiently execute the assigned project within an approved budget and within timelines that exceed our customers’ needs and expectation.
