Peacocks are perhaps the most perfect bird in the world. But did you know each individual feather is actually different from all the others? - There may be broken plumes - There may be different patterns - There are colour variations... - The ends are frayed and broken and dirty from draggin on the ground. In fact, it's really a big, ol mess if you look at it closely. But nobody thinks about all of that when the peacock opens up its tailfeathers and struts around like the king of the hill, do they? No. We only see a big, beautiful, perfect creature. Or at least I do. This is why I chose a peacock feather for the logo of #BeFlawsome and the Flawsome League. Because we're all imperfect beings who deserve to strut around like peacocks! We need to keep reminding ourselves that while WE are our own worst critics, and while WE see all the broken pieces, most of the people out there watching us online don't see those same things.
