You can take aim to speak four languages and conduct global business running corporations, or you can set your compass straight to a tropical island and live slow days teaching surfing. Both are equally honourable and viably great paths. . For those of you who elected to set lofty goals and really reach for your best, here too there is no right or wrong - for Goal Attainment, there’s only One Way. . That’s down the street of hard work - on the path of show up early stay late and - and a daily diet of discipline and consistency. . Ambitions and work ethic must be in alignment. . You decide - either lower your goals to your current work ethic or raise your work ethic to your current goals and dreams. . . Goodbye summer welcome fall and winter rain snow cold and early dark. . How will you ramp up and sustain an active lifestyle that helps build health and a resilient body and mind? .... It’s a great season to ramp up structured training. Those gym workouts focus on improving strength and movement skill. We then deploy those physical capabilities outdoors where fresh air and fun activities build conditioning and net the most robust immune system. Conditioning is key to oxygen carrying capacity, another key attribute that helps win over COVID19. . Stroke volume is the amount of blood pumped by the heart pwr beat. Cardiac output is the total volume per minute of oxygenated blood pumped through the circulatory system. . We can literally train up our body’s systems to overcome COVID19. . Conditioning that increases stroke volume and cardiac output also improves lung function and how efficiently is utilized the oxygen. . While I wear a mask in specific situations as a courtesy to help protect you, my own prevention strategies include: . aerobic conditioning strength training outdoor recreation nature meditation restoration stress management nutrition supplementation mindset strategies healthy perspective . These help improve quality of life experiences and bolster overall health, preventing most illnesses and setting me up to win battles I was not able to prevent. . Come fall/winter a headlamp becomes a key fitness tool along with rain jacket and yak trax, that wrap around hiking shoes to give traction on snow and ice. . I’m set to walk, hike, trail run, snow shoe and ski outdoors - my attitude and my cellular landscape both appreciate it. . Indoors I myself will focus on functional exercise to stimulate adaptations in body and brain that build muscle but in a way it understands the body in motion. . And while I enjoy beer and pizza fully, I don’t agree alcohol, tobacco, donuts and Doritos are essential and the things I check listed above are not. Our sickness economy has it backwards. . But we don’t have to. This fall is an excellent time to build ourselves up. It’s been a tough stressful year. Self care in ways you build up. Train to win. See more

In speed agility quickness drills and expressing those gains in sport action, the arms steer the feet and drive the body. . Strong purposeful arms lead direction change - where the hands go the feet will follow, linking the body. . Flimsy floppy arms cost energy and speed. Arms moving counter to the intent for the body degrades skill.... . Most people including athletes initially move their arms the opposite to what best ignites their body in the intended direction. Training to sweat and burn fat is never the goal. Those two things will happen regardless of what conditioning you do. Training is SKILL and PERFORMANCE based. . Did you know 98% of people who train to blast calories either (1) put weight back on and/or (2) get injured from moving poorly under fatigue . FOCUS YOUR CONDITIONING ON HOW TO MOVE SKILLFULLY. . You will have a better human vehicle for life and the fat will fall and muscle build from training to perform better.

Jealousy, negative gossip, office politics, begrudging another’s success, deflating their enthusiasm, slandering, criticizing, resenting another’s wins.... does not at all raise you higher - you only expose your insecurities and low vibration state - and that perpetuates when you try and piss on someone else’s light. . Be pulled up by those ahead and above you whose hard work and abilities show you a path that is possible. . The physical manifestation of overcoming resistance. . Pull the Chute describes giving up and dropping out. So I use it to instead overcome its pull and move forward strong! It’s a powerful symbol. Our mind affects our body and our physical influences our mindset.... . Resistance sprinting encourages athletes to generate more force to overcome resistance, power thru to accelerate, and lengthen each stride as they strive to apply enough force to keep up the pace in a resisted condition. . In a free condition, a longer stride applying greater force achieves more distance in less time. . Resisted sprints help develop a more powerful stride which contributes to speed, is leveraged to fight through real-game resistance, and is a safe way for my adult clients to train anaerobically. It’s an excellent way to say hello to your top max heart rate! . Athletes and clients are cued to think fast and strive for explosive yet are powering thru resistance so their speed less than when in a free condition. For any client beyond high school I’d be careful unleashing them to full out free sprinting - a higher risk velocity their muscles may not cooperate in, injuries are most common at top speed (and also during explosive direction change). . Focus on a stronger push off and greater drive from each stride. . With enough resistance to fight thru but not too much that mechanics break down or forward motion and acceleration impossible. . Thinking explosive and striving to power thru will influence the nervous system favorably which will pay dividends when training and competing in a natural free state. Coach intent think explosive and in-drill compel drive drive drive! . Your mind must command the body to overcome and power thru. Your physical expression of driving thru resistance, finding a way to accelerate forward, feeds your mind what it needs to achieve regardless the obstacle. . YOU CAN! . 80 years old in human years, Bruno is losing hearing and slowed a step but can still tackle mountains, steep ascents and long treks. . Heading back in here today. Earlier this year as Covid stalled us, people noticed Bruno was heavier lazier.... . Age? . I figured it out. He was heavier less fit because I was heavier less fit. . Once I got ramping back up, he showed full capability to adapt grow improve. . What you accept is more likely fiction than fact. We often substantiate excuses into valid facts when more truly it’s always choices. . Use it or lose it. . If you don’t do it today you can’t do it tomorrow. . There are no limits to what you can achieve. . Some today will make excuses while you seize the chance to make progress. . What best builds your body brain health functional abilities mindset mood and spirit?! Adopt the most effective methods in activities and exercise you most enjoy.
