With a few warm days on the horizon and a 'glowing bright orb' in the sky, thoughts quickly turn to gardening. Sadly, even though all the signs are there, it is not time yet to 'get digging & dirty'. I thought I would share a few interesting articles and links in the meantime. Things that may be of interest to gardening fans, be it for improving the health of your soil or keeping critters, including cats, out of your flower beds or gardens naturally and without harmful chemic...als. This is the first of what I hope will be several more to come. The best part, is that all this is easy to do and even better, it is FREE to implement. First fall garden of 2019 is done. Yellow even makes fall cheerful. Our client loves yellow and it turned out nice. A few more weeks and these will.grow and fill in even more

There is more to dirt than meets the eye ....? Yup...Mr Toad scared the daylights out of me ! Nothing like kneeling in the dirt weeding when suddenly you see an eyeball staring back at you....lol

The snow is finally gone and the clean ups are well on there way.

The shoot is over, the equipment is packed, the crew is gone, you would never imagine that this was a hive of activity or think anything happened just 12 hours ago.... We had so much fun. The nicest group.of people you could hope to work with...polite, friendly, helpful and efficient. Feeling blessed

Never under estimate donating 30 seconds of your life to help out a stranger. Long story but here goes. A few weeks ago we were on our way to tidy up a few sites the day after the blizzard. Going down one country road we see this gentleman trying to dig out his double sized farm gate that leads into a field. He was using a small metal garden shovel on knee deep snow and the berm left by the road plows. We had a client that we had to do so they could get out to work.... We said to ourselves, if he is still there on the way back we will give him a hand.. .big truck with a plow trumps a small shovel... Sure enough, he was still there. He had made about 2 feet of progess. We waved him aside, dropped our plow and in 3 swipes the gate was clear. He was so appreciative and we started to chat. He offered to pay us which we refused of course. Well that led to him asking us for a business card and him telling us that his property is being used for a movie shoot. 20 minutes later he calls us and asks us if we could come back and do some plowing in the field. Thw movie company needs a path across the field to the bush line and a space to park a few cars. We gave him our price and got the ok within 5 minutes. Since then we have been there almost every day to extend the field parking lot, creating additional paths across the field so the trucks with actors and lighting etc can get through, sanding the auxillary lots that they use for their wardrobe trailers etc. as their needs change. Such a nice and fun group of people to work with. And all it took was 30 seconds to help out a fellow human Looking forward to watching the series Anne which is based on Anne of Green Gables, knowing we had a itsy bitsy teeny tiny part of getting a few of scenes ready to shoot. From what I understand it will be on Netflixs. See more

This mornings task....making a parking lot and drivable trails to the forest for a movie shoot. Something magical about early mornings...

Scary glowing orb in the sky today ! Clean ups are getting done, a slew of one timers to dig out and then hopefully a few days to clean, grease and fix stuff before the next big snow flies..

A wee bit of snow fell between 6pm and 8am....

We went head to head with this crazy storm....22 hours after starting our plowing and shoveling....we conquered the storm and are finally home ....who needs a gym ? Lol !
