Happy New Year! Image: 'Not Your Everyday' - I've entered into a contest called street seen as I aim to develop exposure and bring light to my images; the essence of our sight and an image itself. Taken on Christmas day - East side Vancouver. ... In focus current and marketed events of this generation in contrast to the out of focus harsh reality of many. A capture of life and what society chooses to put focus on. As individuals, we have the choice and our own power! I volunteered at a shelter nearby on the 23rd December and wanted to go back to the area on Christmas day to witness how the community came together for them and a little bit more insight into their day to day. But not your everyday! Super challenging situation, I questioned whether it was right to take photos of the homeless, then felt for my security, and so forth as there are a lot of people in the area who I assume would not be happy and at the time with their image being taken or onlookers judging me for taking a photo as such. It came together and I felt it was right to continually expose in any means possible - especially on Christmas day! More to come both on the image and in general.
