Two Wheel View Clinics Bike Basics Clinic Cost: $50.00 (paid upon arrival) - with option for additional donation... Objectives: Understand the basic anatomy of a bike and develop your bicycle vocabulary Begin to diagnose a bike when it isnt working properly Provide clarity around what can be tuned at home and when a local bike shop is your best option Develop basic bike mechanic skills (i.e. changing a flat tire, adjusting brakes, maintaining your bike) Demo bikes will be provided for clinic exercises. You might not know but we are part of a larger network of organizations passionate about getting young people on two wheels called Trips For Kids. We now have a podcast! Listen to the first episode of Pedal Pod, an interview with TFK Founder Marilyn Price (Laura met Marilyn in Colorado a few years ago and she is a real gem!). Marilyn talks about why its important to get kids on bikes, some of her hopes for the future, how cycling keeps her fit and shares some of her favourite memories of the late Robin Williams - an avid cyclist in his own right. Were offering a unique opportunity this summer to ride with Two Wheel View! Bike Camp - Maintenance, Cycle Touring, and Trailriding - ONLY A FEW SPOTS LEFT! Two Wheel View will be offering a 4 day bicycle mechanics and trail-riding skills course in partnership with Strathcona- Tweedsmuir Schools (STS) summer programming. Participants will receive 4 days of basic bike mechanics skills, including how to change a flat tire, adjust brakes, and diagnose shifting issues.... Registration deadline is July 31, 2020 - space is available on a first come first served basis. ONLY A FEW SPOTS LEFT!
