Under by-law 2001-03, all residents who own a dog(s) must register them. To avoid a $15.00 late charge you must purchase your dog tag before March 1, 2021. The cost is $7.50 for spayed or neutered dogs and $15.00 otherwise. You can make payments by e-transfer to [email protected] with password dogtag or there is a black locked mailbox at the Community Center entrance door where you can put your payment in. In addition to your payment you will need to provide confirmation of dogs last rabies shot and your telephone number. Once payments and information are received we will mail you your dog tag.

To our Algoma communities, COVID-19 does not discriminate and neither should we. Each confirmed case of COVID-19 is a person, with feelings, a family, and friends. A person or their family should not be blamed or discriminated against by catching a virus. They should not be the target of negative social media posts, rumours or stigma.... If you know someone with COVID-19 or is self-isolating, be part of their support team. Run some errands for them or deliver groceries. You can also connect with them virtually to let them know they aren’t alone. Anyone can catch a virus, including COVID-19. Be kind Algoma. We are all in this together. Thanks; Mike Mike Park, BASc., CPHI(C) Public Health Inspector
