NOTICE - Wednesday, January 13 is a big day at the Portland Transfer Station. Two new compactors are being installed! This installation project will create line-ups and unknown delay times as the large trucks arrive to deliver the compactors and the crane puts them in place. It is recommended that if possible, you postpone your visit until January 16 to dispose of your waste/recycling. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We look forward to seeing you once the new installs are in operation!

Looking to get outside and enjoy the sunshine with your household this weekend? The toboggan hill at Kin Park, 2311 Harlem Rd., Portland, behind the canteen building, is available for use at your own risk as weather conditions permit. The Elgin Outdoor Rink is open! Thanks to the volunteers, the rink is ready for skating! Please note due to Provincial orders, team sports (hockey) are not permitted at this time. The rink hut remains closed. The Cataraqui Trail is a great spot to hike, birdwatch and enjoy some time in nature. Please maintain a distance of 2m from members outside your household at all times and follow all Public Health guidelines when out.
