The announcement from DFO is in and although we are still waiting on exact boundaries for certain areas it is confirmed that Bamfield and inshore area will be o...pen to fishing all season with a limit of 2/4 on Chinook. After July 14 the Big Bank will again open for Chinook as well. Halibut remains the same. Fishing in the Bamfield and Ucluelet area will continue as usual with only early season changes as to where you are able to retain Chinook. The inside fishery has been stronger than the bank in early season for several years now so this is great news for Bamfield fishers. See more
