Our Fire/Community Hall was broken into late Monday night and our water tender, two wild land fire pumps, two lengths of fire hose and a suction hose were stolen. The water tender has been recovered but the pumps and hoses are still out there. If you come accross these items, pictures below, please contact the RCMP or let us know. Thank-you.

Good evening: For those in or live on Soda Creek Road, Mile 168 Rd, Commodore Heights, Fox Mountain, Pine Valley or Wildwood -- I am aware of flooding issues on... Fox Mountain, Richland Dr and Wildwood. We have placed bags/sand for you to make sandbags at the Wildwood Fire Hall (4253 Wildwood Road) The Ministry of Forests, Lands, Natural Resource Operations/Rural Development will be releasing water from the Minton Lake Dam, northeast of Wildwood, over the next few days to lower the level of the dam.... so you will see a higher than normal flow of water along Minton Creek. I have heard of concerns from Ford Place residents in Wildwood. Please know the Regional District is working on making the Province aware of flooding/landslide concerns throughout the Regional District.. The Regional District asks that if you are experiencing flooding or landslide issues in the above noted communities, please phone our Public Information Line at 1-866-759-4977. For road maintenance concerns in the above noted communities -- our road maintenance contractor is Dawson Road Maintenance. Their contact details can be accessed at https://www.dawsonroadmaintenance.ca/contact/. If you are able, reporting online with pictures would be most welcome to resolve the concerns in the unincorporated communities noted above... I am available on Facebook, email ([email protected]) or by phone at 250-267-6725 should you need to be pointed in the right direction over the weekend! Thanks and have a wonderful weekend, Steve
