What separates privilege from entitlement is gratitude. (Brene Brown) *** October is gratitude month! We are celebrating by posting one thing a day about gratitude.... Join us in celebrating. Share what you are grateful for in the comments below!
The vast majority of the public 16 and older either strongly agree (88%) or somewhat agree (7%) with the statement If I were in an accident, I would want to have my seat belt on. However, about one-half (47%) of 16- to 20-year olds also agreed with the statement Seat belts are just as likely to harm you as help you. #SaveMeaSeatSaturday ***... TYPS is participating in the Ontario Ministry of Transportation's Annual Seatbelt Campaign which focuses on building public awareness of the importance of wearing seatbelts, as well as educate drivers on the proper use of child car seats and booster seats. Whatever you appreciate and give thanks for will increase in your life. (Sanaya Roman) *** October is gratitude month! We are celebrating by posting one thing a day about gratitude.... Join us in celebrating. Share what you are grateful for in the comments below!
[Gratitude] turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos into order, confusion into clarity...it makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow. This one is for all of the YOUth out there: Many of you were not able to make it into the Centre tonight. For all of you (and for us) the past couple of days have been difficult, shocking, and saddening. It is my sincere prayer that you hold onto hope, hold onto your Centre, and hold onto each other. Tonight was about saying good night (not goodbye) and thank you. If there were only two things that I could say to each and every one of you, it would be this:... 1) I have been incredibly honoured, privileged, and grateful to have been granted the opportunity to have a glimpse into your life. Thank you for showing up, for sharing your stories, and for supporting yourself. THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for showing up and showing down. YOU are incredibly resilient, beautiful (in the truest sense of the word), AWE-some, and inspiring people. 2) Take care of yourself. Support each other. This next little while is going to be tough. Reach out, seek support, and find those people that you trust. They will be your most important allies. And never forget to do the things that you love for you will find strength in them. It has been a wild, rambling, beautiful couple of years. And I can't wait to be able to say "I knew them when." Oh, the places you'll go! Sending you lots o' love & hugs, Alyssa Remember: This is YOUR space. YOU have a voice. YOU have power. USE IT!! Make TYPS what you want it to be, be a part of the re-birth process, and let the community know that you want this space.
