GAME DAY! Championship Saturday is upon us and the weather is the best we have had in 4 years. A great day for football. I want to wish all the teams good luck in their games today and a big thank you to all the parents and coaches who helped to make this season a success. ... Parents if you have any pictures or videos that you would be willing to upload to the FB page or share with me for Instagram that would be great. Please remember to pick up your team photo at the table today as well be fore you leave. Thank you again for supporting youth sports here in Kingston and please consider our league again next season. Hey folks, For the games tomorrow we have a change of venue and we will be at the Caraco Invista field, the turf field for tomorrow’s games. The times have not changed but please check the schedules I sent out earlier this week and tonight for your practice and game times. It should be a great day but please dress appropriately for the weather. Also I have been told the bathrooms should be open at Caraco. Looking forward to a great day of flag football. Good evening folks, Well, championship weekend is coming this Sat and I sent out all the playoff and championship schedules to all the teams. I want to thank everyone for supporting the league again this year and as we move into our 5th season the future for flag football here in Kingston is very bright. To the senior players who are aging out after this year, I will be working to put a high school division into next years season. Please keep checking back to this page for ...updates moving into next year. While this season was unconventional to say the least, you were all patient with us and I thank you very much. This is why we brought flag football to Kingston. This type of contact can cause injuries and even concussions. While injuries can happen in flag football it is less likely. Let's keep kids safe and let them learn the game in a safe format so they can grow into tackle football when they are ready.

Well folks, The day is upon us, long awaited, highly anticipated and here we are. Opening day of the Under the Lights Kingston Youth Flag Football season. Good evening folks, I want to thank all of the parents who registered their athletes for the upcoming season of youth flag football. The league is closing registrations as we have as many players as we can take at this point. This season is going to be dedicated to having fun but still being competitive while staying safe. I will be sending out all the teams and schedules in the next week and we will start Sept 12. I look forward to seeing all of you and playing some flag foo...tball. Hey Folks, GREAT NEWS!!!! I have been issued a field for the upcoming Fall season of Under the lights youth flag football which will start Sept 12 and run through Oct 24 at this point (dates could be subject to change but should follow this timeline for the most part). We will be at Woodbine park and registration is open until Aug 31 if you would like to join. We have a return to play protocol that we will be following each week in order to keep our athletes as safe as possib...le. If you feel you would like your athlete(s) to join and be a part of this fun, competitive and safe form or football please go to www.uaflag.com to register. We will require a waiver form to be signed for all players and we will have more information coming out as we get closer to the launch of the season. If you have any questions please reach out and I will answer them as best I can. Please note that I will be running this league as safely as possible so if you have any immune compromised individuals in your bubble you may want to look at some of our future leagues to join. Hey Folks, Just heard the government is ready to open up Stage 3 which will allow for larger groups to congregate and sporting events to occur. Just to give you a heads up I have reached out to the City of Kingston to request a field permit for the Under the Lights Kingston Youth Flag Football League for the fall and am waiting for a response. Please note that the dates have not been set in stone yet but looking at starting in Sept and finishing in October, will firm up dates... once I get more information from the city. I am very excited to know how well we as Canadians have been doing with regard to COVID 19 and it is do to that hard work and dedication that we are looking more positively at running a fall league. Please note that we will put all safety measures in place that we can in order to make everyone as safe as possible and still keep it fun and competitive. I hope you are still doing well and that you are staying safe but lets get the word out to your friends and neighbors so we can have a big turn out for the league. If you are already registered you are good to go. If you registered in the spring but requested a refund from that season please re-register if you are still interested in playing in the fall. Good evening everyone, I was just on a call with the Under the Lights UA league and we have confirmed a process by which we should be able to run a fall season this year starting in Late Aug and running through to just before Halloween. This is exciting news. There will be policies in place for safety of the players, officials, volunteers and parents. This is all predicated on the successful progression to Phase 2 as per the provincial government but if that moves forward an...d we get the all clear, we are playing!!! For those of you who remained registered you don't need to do anything as we already have your information but for those of you who decided on the refund for the summer season but are still interested in playing the registration page will open back up starting June 1. As before if something happens to prevent the fall season from running we will happily refund your registration. I am excited to play and I hope you are as well. I will keep posting on this page so keep watch for any updates. I hope you are all staying safe and comfortable through COVID 19 and I look forward to getting back on the field in late Aug. Registrations will close Aug 1 (late registrations cannot be guaranteed uniforms for the start of the season) so we can get the teams and uniforms organized and ordered. Happy Mother’s Day to all the wonderful moms of the players who have played and have yet to play in the Under the Lights Kingston Youth Flag Football League. We appreciate all you do.

Good afternoon folks, First off I want to thank everyone for your patience and understanding as we tried to do what we could to ensure we would have a spring season of Youth Flag Football this year in Kingston. Unfortunately that isn't going to happen and I am officially cancelling the spring season. COVID 19 has affected all of our lives and we want to make sure the health and safety officials have given the "all clear" before we try to do anything that will put our players,... coaches and families lives in jeopardy. On a good note: We will be looking at running our regular fall season this year starting in Sept and running through the end of Oct. Providing we have been cleared to do so by health and safety officials. Registrations for the upcoming season will begin starting in July. I would like to give you the choice to either get a refund for your current registration or roll your registration over to the fall league (if that league doesn't go due to COVID 19 your money will be refunded at that time). Please respond to the email sent to you with your players name(s) and "Yes I would like a refund" or "Please roll my registration over to the fall season". Please let me know by April 26 so we can get the refund process started and please note that any refunds will take some time to process, up to 15 business days is what I am being told. So please keep that in mind. I will be calling players that I have not heard from April 25/26. If I do not hear from you by April 26 you will automatically default to a refund status. I am sorry that we were not able to make this happen but I look forward to seeing all of you back for the fall season and I will open the fall up to the older grades as well if we get enough kids registered. Good evening parents and players, I wanted to touch base with you around the upcoming season for the Under the Lights Youth Flag Football season. I want to assure everyone that I have been in touch with the parent organization and we are still very hopeful we will be able to run the season. We were not supposed to start until beginning of May which still gives us some time to see how COVID 19 affects our region.If need be we could push that start date a couple of weeks to ac...commodate for safety and direction from government and medical professionals. Our primary concern is safety but we are able to turn very quickly to be able to run a league so if we can get direction that indicates it is safe to do so we will. I will communicate on this page and will contact parents directly if things change in the near future. Parents, We continue to actively monitor COVID-19 and its implications around our city and are taking reasonable and precautionary measures to ensure the safety of all of our team members, players, coaches and fans. Although we fully intend to continue with our Spring Season, we will remain diligent in following all local government protocols through this process. The Under the Lights and Coast to Coast Team will continue to promote an abundance of caution in this ever-chang...ing environment. As previously mentioned, we will continue to take additional measures to keep our players, coaches and fans as safe as possible. We have had in-depth conversations with our league sites to make sure ample staff is on-site to assist with frequent and repeated cleaning. Although we believe it’s a huge part of the game, there will be no pre-game or post-game handshakes We will continue to adjust concessions in accordance with current food and safety recommendations All game day equipment will be handled by our staff and will be wiped down/sanitized before each game Each team must use its own ball during all game-day activities With Covid-19 dominating the news, our hope is that our Spring Season gives our kiddos something to look forward to, and we look forward to reconnecting with you for a STRONG SPRING SEASON.
