Hi. I am Vishwangi Shah. I was a Mitacs intern at the University of Alberta last summer. The best part of the program was being able to explore so much in a short span of 2 months. Be it the Banff trip, the Drumheller trip, the visit to the art museum, ice-skating in WEM, or biking around Stanley Park in Vancouver, everything was just awesome. My advice to future students is to manage time efficiently so that you can give your best at work and also take out time to explore... Canada. I would say this quarantine has allowed me to take a break from an otherwise hectic life. I have been watching movies and TV-series, reading books, learning how to cook and spending time with family. Thank you for being apart of the #ualberta family, Vishwangi!

Meet Sumin Lee from Chungnam National University in South Korea We asked Sumin about her experience at UAlberta and in the program: What was your favourite experience?Jasper Trip was good, but watching the ice hockey game was the best. Actually, I don't really like sports. At first, I was full of suspicion that it would be boring, but time went by so fast the whole time I watched the hockey game! Now, I’m a big fan of ice hockey. What is your advice for future students...? I recommend you to visit all over campus because the campus is wide and has many things to see. Gym is running various activity programs at a low price, so don't miss out on a good opportunity. Finally, if you have something you want to do or an event you want to participate in, do it right away! What has been your favourite quarantine activity? Like all of you, watch Netflix and YouTube. I sometimes watch Korean dramas. I like to cook, so I make delicious food using recipes on YouTube these days. Thanks to that, my cooking skills have improved a lot.
