Cree-Métis Master’s student, Liam King, is forming a virtual group for young Indigenous men to come together and research how engaging with digital media influences their health and wellness. This group is being run from February to April 2021 and will require regular attendance at online sessions where the duration and frequency of these sessions will be determined by group member feedback. To participate in this group, you need to (a) identify as an Indigenous man or having had the lived experiences of being an Indigenous man, (b) be between 17 - 30 years old, and (c) be registered as a part-time or full-time undergraduate student at UBC Okanagan. Please see the poster for details on how to sign up!

The 3C’s Challenge consists of a 5-day training workshop, which is followed by a 45-day challenge to open up and run their own businesses! The 5 days of training includes relationship building and team formation, idea generation and exploring business ideas, then creating a business out of the passions and skills that arise throughout the 5-days training workshop. Following the workshop is a 45-day challenge where we provide up to a $1000 micro-loan to teams, we provide a men...tor with skills in e-commerce and marketing, and encourage participants to explore their entrepreneurial skills in their own risk-free business venture! Our ad says 30-day Challenge, which it typically is, however, we understand the difficulties of meeting that deadline in the world we live in today (COVID restrictions and protocols to abide by), so we have extended the Challenge to 45 days. Please feel free to email, if you have any additional questions about the 3C's Challenge at [email protected]
Don't forget to register for this Conversation Starter that happens tomorrow, by emailing: [email protected]
