https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iTsxzS9h2n0 Recently, concussions stemming from sports-related activities have become a hot topic. Post-Doctoral Fellow Jonathan Smirl here at UBCO is looking at objective measures of concussions. What this means, is looking at things such as blood flow in the brain instead of relying on subjective self-report measures to understand concussions. Furthermore, the research team here is looking at how these changes in brain flow can be altered due to innovative protective headgear and helmets in order to prevent concussions in sports. Take a look for more information here! #ubcotv#concussionresearch#humankinetics#athletics#concucssionsinathletes#preventionofconcussions#helmetliners#protectbraininjuries
