This week’s Sister Spotlight is Maddy Rich from @adpi_ubc ! Maddy is the current VP Recruitment on the Panhellenic Council! Recently, she planned the logistics and worked with all chapters to ensure this year’s Formal Recruitment went smoothly! With everything being virtual Maddy faced unprecedented challenges, yet she adapted and overcame them, executing Canada’s largest Virtual Formal Recruitment in history! She was inspired to apply for the position after loving her... experience as a Recruitment Counsellor, as well as having women in @adpi_ubc who had previously held positions on the Panhellenic Council encourage her! Wanting to contribute more to the UBC Sororities community, as well as the continuation of our communities membership Maddy decided to apply for the position of VP Recruitment! As Vice President Recruitment, Maddy has strengthened her leadership skills! The position has provided her opportunities for public speaking, as well as networking connections across the UBC Community. Additionally Maddy has gained confidence in herself as well as her abilities, allowing her to approach any obstacle she faces in stride! Maddy credits her sisters in @adpi_ubc with pushing her outside of her comfort zone, and constantly encouraging her to take on new initiatives! Representing her chapter on the Panhellenic Council and working around the clock on recruitment has been made easier through the immense support and motivation her sisters have provided her! Her sisters in Alpha Delta Pi describe Maddy as Hard working, motivated, and adaptable! The one piece of advice Maddy would give to anyone considering running for a position on the Panhellenic Council this fall would be I cannot recommend these experiences enough! Looking back, I’m so glad I pushed myself to apply because I have gained so much as an individual and have been able to contribute to a community I am so passionate about! See more
