A huge thank you goes out to everybody that gave donations for Feed Nova Scotia last week! Everything was donated today and we're happy to announce that we gave $110 in cash, and 85 kg in non-perishable items!

The Government of Nova Scotia announced further measures on March 15th re COVID -19 Additional prevention measures for Nova Scotians are in effect immediately under the authority of the Health Protection Act and include: public schools closed for two weeks following March Break (weeks of March 23 and March 30) and then will be reassessed regulated child care centres closed March 17 to April 3 and then will be reassessed... We are sharing these new protocols to advise you that South St and LSC will open tomorrow, March 16th for regular business hours for all staff and family that are not affected by the new travel measures. The travel measures are: anyone who travelled outside of Canada must self-isolate even if symptom-free Read the full statement here: https://novascotia.ca/news/release/?id=20200315002 As always, prevention and preparedness remain key. Follow these guidelines: Wash your hands frequently with soap and water (download this poster from the Province of Nova Scotia on handwashing tips) Cough or sneeze into your elbow or a tissue (throw the tissue away) Clean high-touch surfaces and objects often Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands. The Public Health Agency of Canada and Nova Scotia Public Health remain the best source for up to date information on this rapidly changing situation.
