A beautiful sunny day was enjoyed by all at our annual Friends and Family BBQ on July 14th. Coronation Park provided a great site where Larry Deptuck and Dale Sutton cooked some delicious burgers and hotdogs. We had a great turn out and reconnected for a little summer magic.

Melorie Davies presented a Hug-Me-Blanket to Carol Pilon in memory of her husband Larry Pilon who passed away suddenly on December 8, 2018. Melorie made the blanket in the traditional UCT colours and included the UCT logo.

Many awards were presented to well deserving members.

Many awards were given at the 2019 Regional Conference in St. Albert. Our new President, Dwight Hunter accepted the Award of Excellence given to our Council for our monetary support given to Intellectual Disabilities and Cancer Charities.

Lil McDermott accepted a couple of well earned awards for her 2018 UCT Regional Council Newsletter winning 2nd place and the Edmonton, Alberta Council 1016 UCT Local Council Newsletter where she won 1st place. Big thanks goes out to Lil for keeping our Council up to date and well informed.

Everyone was treated to some great entertainment at the Saturday night dinner with belly dancers and young Irish dancers. A fun time for all.
