Casting Off Dear Patients of U Dental, I am writing to share with you that I will not be returning to the clinic post-pandemic. As I look back over my seven and a half years at U Dental, I feel that I have been very fortunate to work with colleagues who are committed to patient care, to each other, to the practice, and to the wider community. I still feel a strong loyalty to you, the patients of Dr. Sharaf, to and to all those with whom I have enjoyed working. ... I want to thank you, the patients: for placing your trust in me, and for your support over the years. I thank you especially, for all your kind messages of thanks and good wishes in the last year during some health issues I experienced. I have been deeply touched by them, and these last six months have been some of the most emotional in my life that I can remember. I am proud of the team that I worked with they are hugely committed to you and to each other. I wish them every success as U Dental strives to maintain and further develop the quality dentistry you receive. I have worked side by side with Delphine over the last year and feel blessed to have her support you in my future absence. Dear U Dental Patients, We are excited to announce that we will be reopening Monday June 8th, 2020. We have received notice from the Ministry of Health and the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario that all dental clinics can re-open with protective limitations. Please email us to request appointments at [email protected] or phone our office to book your appointment at 613-228-3000. Please familiarize yourself with the new changes: 1. A health questionnaire will be sent befo...re your appointment. Please answer all questions and email it back to us. 2. All patients entering the clinic must wear a mask. If you do not have one, a mask will be provided to you. 3. We need to minimize the number of people entering the clinic. When you arrive, please remain in your vehicle, and call 613-228-3000 to notify the office you have arrived. When we are ready for you to enter the clinic, we will call your cell. We ask that only the patient enters the clinic if possible. In case of small children, only one parent or guardian is allowed in the clinic with the patient. 4. Please use the hand sanitizer station upon your arrival 5. Your temperature will be taken with a touchless thermometer prior to being seated for your appointment 6. You will be asked to swish with 1.5% hydrogen peroxide rinse before your procedure 7. We will space out appointment times in respect to social distancing and ask for all patients to wait in their cars until 1-2 min before their appointment time. Rachel graduated with honors from the Dental Hygiene program at Durham College in 2014 and is registered with the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario. She was born and raised in the Ottawa area and is proud to call Ottawa her home. As a Dental Hygienist, Rachel enjoys working with patients to exceed their oral hygiene needs and goals, while providing comfortable and relaxing care. She loves working with people and will happily greet with you a smile! Outside of the clinic, you can catch Rachel walking her dog, spending time at the cottage or downhill skiing.
