#lestweforget The story of Bohdan Panchuk and the Ukrainian Canadian Servicemen's Association - the group he co-founded during the Second World War - has been largely forgotten. After enlisting with the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1939 and landing on the beaches of Normandy on D-Day in 1944, Bohdan Panchuk became a key figure in helping more than 30,000 Ukrainian refugees emigrate to Canada after World War II.... Bohdan Panchuk and the UCSA have been recognized as part of Britain's 75th anniversary celebration of the victory in Europe - in this stained glass window in St. James's Church in London, England. This Remembrance Day, please honour the heroic efforts of Ukrainian Canadians in the Second World War by learning our history: https://www.theglobeandmail.com//article-veteran-who-help/ and registering to view the digital Premiere of the John Paskievich documentary film: www.CanadianWarStory.com #CanadaRemembers
