Meet your executives for 2020/2021!! Say Hi to Mark; who is our Treasurer for this year Hi! My name is Mark Grisnich and I am 21 in the Bachelor’s of Management program with an Accounting Major. A fun fact about me is that I prefer cold showers to hot ones. I joined February 25th of 2020 because I wanted to be a part of something which was not self-serving, and which brought real value to other people’s lives.... I am most proud of this club, to be honest. This year has given every incentive for people to be self-serving and withdrawn. Despite that, and despite the difficulty of not being able to be together, this club consistently showed up and found ways to make the world around us a little bit better. And as the year drew on, and as the difficulties got even worse, you guys didn’t stop caring for others. To be associated, and to be able to work alongside this club makes me exceedingly proud, and very grateful! My favourite moments are those which are yet to come in the months ahead! My favourite quote is There is a solution for every problem. Mark always shows a great level of professionalism and insight during our club meetings. Meet your executives for 2020/2021!! Say Hi to Celine; who is our Secretary for this year Hi! My name is Celine Quirante and I am 23 years old. I’m on the last stretch of my psychology degree at the university. Fun fact about me is that I’ve attended 10 schools (Preschool-University) in my 23 years of living. I joined Rotaract at the beginning of 2019. I’ve heard of Rotary, who they are and what great things they do worldwide since I was little and planned on joining the ...club in my first year of university but I was overwhelmed with the change so I decided to wait a little. Then finally spring semester of 2019, I got a little push from my dear friend Taylor and joined the group! Every moment with them is a blessing. They are my Lethbridge family. It’s been tough not being able to be with each other physically but I cannot wait until we are all together again. 2020 has been a rough year, but I can honestly say I’ve learned and grown a lot. I finally feel like I’m on the right track to finding who I really am. Lately my favourite quote has been from a song I repeatedly play: like an echo in the forest. The day will come again, as if nothing happened, yeah life goes on... (Life goes on by BTS). No matter how hard times get, we should take a moment and just keep going. The song has been a great reminder that life truly goes on. Celine’s dedication to Rotary makes a huge difference as she is always willing to help and often takes initiative to complete tasks. Meet your executives for 2020/2021!! Say Hi to Hannah; who is our other Co-President for this year Hi my name is Hannah Dupuis. I'm 22 and am in my 5th year in a combined degree of Socially Responsible Marketing and Political Science. A fun fact about me is that I play 7 instruments and am a little bit addicted to knitting! I joined Rotaract spring semester of my first year of Uni and it really embodies my passion for helping the community and volunteering.... While COVID has been really hard, its given me a lot of opportunities to expand my skills and spend more time with my family which I will always be grateful for. My favorite moments from Rotaract is volunteering at the interfaith food Bank. We always have so much fun and its such a great way to give back.
