Our business like many businesses affected by the pandemic, is not out of the woods. As a relatively new business (now 3.5 years old), we depend on revenue growth to make a profit and stash away money for the slow winter season, which affects all of us in Canada selling ice cream. ... The Federal government has helped with their wage subsidy and loan program but will it be enough to squeak by? Time will tell. Thank you for your continued support, be it praise or expressed interest in Umaluma, but especially for your purchase of our products. One channel of distribution for us is online and take away through the delivery companies from your mobile apps. While these work out, we are not aligned with them on the business and ethical side. They take advantage with poor customer service and poor ethics in treating their employees or contractors. We are looking for other channels to sell Unaluma online so that customers can order from home.
