The preschool cohort at Templemead ended the summer with a bang with a MESSY WEEK! The children and their educator Lindsay got down and dirty everyday outside. We kindly asked the parents to send old clothes and we had a TON OF FUN!!! The children couldnt get enough of the mess. This is an extension to a previous activity shared by our educator Lindsay at Umbrella Templemead. The preschool cohort has been extremely engaged in water and the flow of water. They were building a make shift river everyday but now, thanks to a generous donation, the children have a permanent water flow area using natural elements and loose parts. The toddler children at Umbrella Gatestone have had so many opportunities for the enhancement of their gross motor development in their beautiful outdoor play space! With the educator Kristina noticing the childrens repetitive pattern of play and learning (schema), additions were made to further enhance their growth and peak their interests. While navigating the stumps, they began to count not only in English but in Spanish and Greek as well! They were so excited when they accomplished both tasks simultaneously and when they jumped off the last stump, they went right back to the beginning to do it all over again! #HamOnt #childcare #earlylearning #HDLH

The ladies were dressed in their best the one handsome gentleman was very patient as he volunteered to be everyones dance partner for classics like "Baby Shark" and "Im a Gummy Bear".
