How to enjoy your life without compromising your religion, culture and traditions? Last week, the Saturday Youth Meetup was a practical lesson to our youth of (How to enjoy this life without giving away your religion, culture and traditions). We reserved the entire pool for our youth and traveled together with the Mosque bus. The youth really had a fantastic time at the pool with the volunteers and Imam Abdullah. Then one of our youth called the Athan and we prayed Maghr...eb there. We had a little snack and loads of fun in the bus coming back to the Mosque. We then started our weekly discussion reflecting on the day we had until Isha prayer. Today Insha Allah we will have our Basketball professional training right after the gathering. We are very excited to have our youth today. Stay tuned for another surprise next week! Today Saturday, 5 Free Great Youth Activities are happening @ Ummah Mosque ! Youth Boys 11-14: 1- (5:30pm) We have our Youth trip to the Pool. We will be back to the Mosque to have our weekly discussion with the Youth at 7 pm Insha Allah. (Weekly) ... Youth Girls 13+: 2- (6:00pm) Youth sisters will gather at the Multipurpose room for a Yummy Ice-cream & Great Discussions ! Food 4 though (Banana split Bar). Youth Boys (15- 20): 3- (7-9:00pm) Very competitive Basketball games at the Ummah Gym. (Weekly) Workshop for Moms about dealing with Youths: 4- (6-7pm) At the Youth Lounge sisters will have a workshop for mothers about how to deal with teenagers. 5- Brothers Volley Ball program: (9 pm-12 am) our Weekly Volley Ball games will start tonight at 9 pm insha Allah. ---------- Youth Boys Weekly Update Big Surprise Today Alhamdulellah: We are going today with our youth to have fun and free swim @ the Pool. Mosque bus will leave the Mosque at 5:30 pm insha Allah. Happened last week: 1- Our discussion with Imam Abdullah was about Why some of us choose to seal their religious values and sacred rituals such as Jumaa Prayer? What are our religious rights? How can we practice these rights ? What is the virtue of Jumaa Prayer in Islam? 2- We got a professional Basketball trainer to teach the youth Basketball and organize the games every week Insha Allah. 3- A Yummy potluck was organized by group of volunteers sisters. Everyone ate from this great food; youths, adults and even guests 4- all youth were divided into groups during the discussion time. We had a Mentor from the youth leading each group. This new design allowed the youth to have more chance to speak and participate in the discussions. Thank You to All our great volunteers, the Youth Mentors and All brothers and sisters who are donation their precious time towards these Activities.
