As we noted in our last post, the votes for the CS House Cup Pumpkin-Carving Challenge have been counted. In addition to receiving prizes themselves, each of the carvers of the top 3 pumpkins has earned points for their CS House. House points were awarded as follows: - First Place: Turing House (3 points) - Second Place: Babbage House (2 points) - Third Place: Babbage House (1 point)... The updated public House points are reflected in this graph. Note: This does not include any hidden points that will be revealed at the end of the year (e.g. points for the top House averages on the CS 1073 midterm). The next opportunity to earn CS House Cup points will be via the CSA's Extra Life Charity Gaming Marathon - 2020. So, be sure to sign up for their team and start soliciting sponsors

The UNB Computer Science Association is hosting their annual Extra Life Charity Gaming Marathon - 2020 this weekend (Nov. 7-8)! This event is open to anyone who wishes to participate, but if you are a member of one of our CS Houses, there are also House Cup points to be earned at this event! Here's how: - Points will be awarded to the House(s) with the most participants. ("Participating" means that you: joined the CSA's team on the Extra-Life site and raised/donated at least... $10 by the end of the day on November 8th.) - Points will also be awarded to the House(s) that raise the most money. (Here, we will be looking at the total amount raised by all House members by the end of the day on November 8th.) This is a great opportunity to get together virtually and raise money for a very worthwhile cause: Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. #ExtraLife #ForTheKids
