Winter trail groomer! Lets make this happen!! Woot Woot!

We are still looking for a few course volunteers and a sweeper! We are also planning a kids race that will start shortly after the main event get underway, but... we will need 3-4 course volunteers (I.e. parents who are watching) to keep the kids safe. If we don't have these, then it will just be a kids group ride. 6+ only and must be on pedal bike, preferably hand brakes due to the downhill. Course will be posted by friday, and will include the greenway, lab tea, backside, bones, sundown and the old trail. 10km loop! The kids race will head out onto Shane lake loop, take roots, and come down the greenway, 1.6km loop, multiple loops will depend on age. Registration in the freeway parking lot off UNBC campus and starting at the pit house.

BIG THANKS to whom ever put in the new bridge on doctor trail. The longer old trail bridge needs some repair as well, hopefully there are some handy volunteers to make it happen!

UPDATE FROM GREENWAY SOCIETY: Just an update on the condition of the Greenway. As in many places around town the main trail has and or is drying out very nicely. There were minimal trees down and the majority of these have been cleared. There are still a few small trees to remove on the Takla to Otway section. These will be cut out next week. So if you are looking for a place to have a nice outing this weekend consider a trip along the Greenway.
