Changes to how you edit documents within Teams Microsoft is rolling out a change to how documents are edited within the Teams environment. How does this affect me?... To edit documents within Teams there is now an additional step. Instead of editing as soon as you click on a document within Teams you will instead be in a ‘view mode’ where you can see the document content but not make changes. To make changes to a document, you will need to: 1. click on ‘more options’ (shown as ) in the top right bar above the document content and 2. select ‘Open in Browser’ or ‘Open in Desktop App’* This will open the document in a separate window from Teams and allow you to make changes. *If you don’t have MS Office installed on your computer you can get a free download via your myUNB Portal > Office 365 What do I need to do to prepare for this change? You don’t need to do anything as this change will happen automatically. Help spread the word by informing others of this change when collaborating.
