Island 22 fun runs

I am planning a new run at Island 22, but I am in need of a few people to help me out. Not alot of work but need a few more hands involved.

Attention all!! I had a meeting with the FVRD this morning about how we are going to attack the clean up of the equestrian side of the park. The Equestrian sid...e of the park will remain closed until further notice while we deal with danger trees and a ton of trail clean up. Starting tomorrow we will have a crew in there to cut down the broken trees and top the dead heads that have occurred. Then next week we will have machinery in there to haul out all the logs and as many branches as we can. The work bee for March 18th and 19th still stands. This will be the fine tune clean up of all the little stuff that needs to be cleaned up. Honestly the most time consuming and if we could get as many volunteers as possible to help at the work bee we will then be able to open up the park again to horses. The dog park and the boat launch have been cleaned up and are reopened.

I am changing the name of this page, you will see it as Island 22 fun runs in a few days! Keep telling us what you want to see at the park!!

OK everyone, we are planning a run, what do you want from us to get you all out there. Suggestions please. No obstacles though it will be a flat run. What distances do you want to see, what would you like as a momento. ? shirt, medal..... keep in mind it adds to the cost of your registration. Do you want a snack at the finish line? what type?

Hi friends. Just letting you know that we haven't disappeared. Marnie and I have been churning a few new ideas in our heads to keep the fun running type events going. Organizing these things takes a huge amount of time and coordination so we have long spread sheets to go over and figure out. Stay in touch. We have not left you.
