Hey UFTB folks If you havnt heard Peter Panetta is looking for donations for the Underground Gym to purchase a new building. In the past we as a club have helped them out when we could and many of us have trained alongside his past and present boxers. That said if anyone can spare a couple bucks and make a donation we will collect it and the gym will match your donations for this great cause.

What is your gym doing to protect you during these uneasy times? After watching numerous gyms "cleaning" videos and in the interest of personal protection we would like to offer some free advice to ensure a safe gym experience no matter where you are training. Remember google is a great tool and that along with the Health Canada's covid approved product list you can do your homework and keep yourself and your family safe.... Ask what cleaning product they are using? Were they trained on it's use? What is the dwell (wet contact) time? What is the active ingrediant in the product? How is the in use concentration tested / verified? What is the mat, floor, equipment's cleaning interval? This are very important questions, answers varie greatly by product, if the answer is: "uhhhm I'll check and get back to you" ... Draw your own conclusions as to their concern for your safety. At United Fighter We are using Oxivir plus, Oxivir wipes and Virex 256 for very specific reasons in our gym. The products we use are hospital grade and Health Canada listed to kill Covid and many other pathogens Like our cleaning products the foaming hand soap in washrooms and hand sanitizer in gym are also listed to kill covid and numerous other pathogens. We have been trained on procedures and use the necessary test strips to ensure our facility is as safe as we can make it for our family and yours.

Attention parents! The Thunder Bay district health unit has given us the green light to start running our kids program again. Starting Tuesday July 28th United Fighter will be running a kids program Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5pm-6pm. Spaces are limited as we must maintain the 2 meter social distancing rule.

Hey Thunder Bay, with the relaxing of the rules coming this Friday due to stage 3, and after discussing it with the tbdhu, we would like to announce we are open and available to all participants! The new rules are: maintain social distancing, limited to no contact, and self screening upon entrance. No prolonged contact of any kind (wrestling, mma,jiu jitsu, shoot wrestling) are Not allowed yet. Boxing, kickboxing, and Muay Thai are, sparring is still not allowed. ... Use of change rooms is still not allowed, Stage 3 means you can come out and get a good sweat on and learn something. See more

For anyone interested in training a $20.00 Boxing Ontario Recreational or Muay Thai Ontario registration is required. Covid-19 killing hand sanitizer, wipes, and hand soap are provided and all our cleaning products are Health Canada listed. Come check out our clean, safe, friendly, modern facility.

Great news!! We are opening!! Starting this evening with Boxing 6 - 8 Mondays and Wednesdays. Muay Thai Kickboxing Tuesday and Thursday 6 - 8. Please note use of change rooms is not allowed and social distancing is mandatory. For everyone's personal protection the gym and equipment will be sprayed down after each session with a Health Canada listed, non allergenic, cleaner / disinfectant that kills the covid virus in 3 minutes oh and our flooring arrived for the new weight room so it should be ready this week too..... :) I would also like to mention we have a good supply of hand sanitizer and wipes along with our regular cleaning and sanitizing products. Masks are also available if it makes you more comfortable.
