Teaching Assistants in Uni 101 facilitate small discussion groups and work with students to read, research, and write critically. Ideal candidates are excellent critical thinkers, dynamic, flexible, and self-directed. This term’s course will focus on the Social Sciences, but content-specific knowledge is not required. Teaching Assistants will receive extensive training in widely applicable skills such as facilitation, communication, critical thinking, and problem solving. Meals are provided in class each evening for all volunteers and students. To ensure continuity, we ask TAs to commit to both Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30pm-6:00pm, as well as staying until the end of class (8:30pm) on one of those evenings.
