I'm so happy to see this at my local Sobeys. No more single-use plastic bags! Paper bags are now available for $0.10 each. What I love about paper bags is that they are re-usable to a certain point. They're also sanitary. You can throw them out when the bag is ripped, wet or no longer usable. They will biodegrade and are also compostable. I have worked in the field of engineering covering projects that affect our natural environment, working with engineers and scientists. Over the many years of technical writing, I've learned and discovered the impact of big infrastructure projects on species... at risks and the environmental effects of the daily design and architecture of our modern world. I wanted to be a part of positive change, the paradigm shift. Here we are in 2020, many of us with open minds pursuing the change for the better from zero-waste lifestyle to cutting out single-use plastic and many more journeys and voyages to curb our mass consumption mindset.
