LEAP SPOTLIGHT: UniFirst is now recruiting for our 2021 LEAP Program, a multi-award-winning leadership development initiative that prepares high-potential individuals for managerial careers in UniFirst’s Service, Production, and Sales departments. For more information and to apply, visit Jobs.UniFirst.com/LEAP. As an Assistant Production Manager at the UniFirstStratford, CT location, former LEAP associate Alex Bender’s job requires interaction with many different departments.... Thanks to his cross-departmental experiences in the LEAP Program, Alex entered his role armed with skills that have enabled him to better empathize and collaborate with his colleagues. Many members of my team only know production. We don’t really interact with the customers, so as long as the truck’s loaded, we’re mostly satisfied. However, the LEAP Program prepared me to think beyond my own department. Sometimes I think about the invoicing side of things or how the customer is going to be billed for different products. It’s that [360-degree view of things] that helps me feel fully capable to perform in my own job. #UniFirstFamily
If there’s one thing that Big Guy Auto LTD Big Guy Auto owners Dave Howey (pictured) and Brad McCrindle like more than their new UniFirst uniforms, it’s the service they’ve received from the UniFirstRed Deer, AB location. Everything’s been fantastic, said Brad. From the sales team to the RSR [Route Service Representative], every aspect of the service has been more than we could have hoped for. #CustomersFirst
The UniFirstTulsa, OK team, along with GM Jack Walters, recently donated hygienically clean (laundered) blankets to the ‘Warming Hearts and Hands’ blanket and glove drive, helping to ensure that some area families will be keeping extra warm this winter. #EverydayHeroes KJRH

When Team Partners out of our UniFirstFort Smith, AR Location recently witnessed a car accident, they were quick to jump into action. Without hesitation, Route Service Managers (RSMs) Alfie Barter and Wes Dean worked to pull the driver from the wreck, while Office Administrator (OA) Christy Richardson calmly called 911. All of the vehicle’s occupants came out okay, thanks in large part to the trio’s efforts. We’d like to give a shoutout to these #EverydayHeroes. Thanks to UniFirstWindsor, ON Sales Representative Vilis Lazdins, the Leamington, ON Fire Department’s new rescue truck is outfitted with a new high-definition logo floor mat. Vilis was more than happy to help make the donation, especially since his son Arthur serves as a fire fighter for the department. Plus, UniFirstWindsor, ON Team Partners are always looking for ways to give back to the community. Great work, Vilis and the UniFirstWindsor, ON team, and bravo to the Leamington, ON Fire Department for continuing to be essential first responders during these times. Congratulations to UniFirst race car driver Chase Elliott for winning the coveted 2020 NASCAR Cup Series championship! UniFirstCharlotte, NC Production Manager, Christopher Rich, recently helped the Cabarrus Meals on Wheels team move into their brand-new facility. Chris was eager to volunteer one of his Saturdays to help move equipment, stock shelves, and repair items in the building. The UniFirstCharlotte, NC location also donated hand sanitizer, mats, and PPE to ensure a safe and sanitary transition for the non-profit. #EverydayHeroes
