We are living in probably the most challenging times of our lives. There is so much uncertainty and unknown about the novel virus and the associated disease Covid-19. One of the most encountered questions in the veterinary care world is whether our pets can act as carriers of the virus. So far, what we know is that it seems like they do not. However, to be on the safe side, a pet from a known infected or quarantined household should be considered as a potential for spread simply due to possibility of aerosolizing the virus and/or carrying it around on their coat. So, avoiding contact with these pets would be the safe step to take.

Please keep your eye out for this previous puppy Maisie so we can work together to get her reunited with her family! Her distinctive features include: a white blaze that goes off to one side of her face, a white chest and underbelly, 4 white socks, a pink dot on her nose and a white tip on her tail. We are all facing difficult times with the global pandemic announced by WHO but one thing we should remember is that there is no effective treatment for the disease caused by Covid-19. The only effective way to beat the monster is to break the transmission chain by minimizing contact, washing / sanitizing hands, and overall avoiding public events as much as possible.
