UNION RACES

It is will great sadness and emotion that we are announcing that we are cancelling our races for 2020. We have been working with Alberta health and the provincial government to try and get our races approved. We have been told not till stage 3 is announced and then there is still no guarantee that we will be approved. With no guidelines as to when stage 3 will be announced and the current situations we feel it’s in the best interest for our competitors, sponsors, and staff th...at we postpone till 2021. We had so much planned and so much passion for our races this year but they will have to wait till 2021. We thank all our registrants, sponsor, and everyone who has helped us. We will be back in 2021 bigger and better than ever. Thankyou and look for a great schedule of races from Union Races in 2021. People who have already registered for races in 2020 will have there registrations automatically deferred to 2021. They will also receive information with outlined option shortly.

Kind of a sad day here at Union Races. Today should have been race day, our first event of the year. We were so excited for this day and the weather today is beautiful. We will be back on September 5,6 for our great events. Although we maybe sad today we are still so excited to bring you great events in 2020. Let’s all hope we can be back together racing and having fun very soon.

Hope everyone is staying safe. We have rescheduled Conquer the Coulee OCR race to Sept 5 and our Union Trail 5k/10kbto Sept 6. We are very hopeful that things will calm down by then and we can all get back to doing things that we love doing together. We are in full swing building obstacles, thinking of new ideas, and planning for September. We are so looking forward to having these great races and hoping that by September we will get approval to have them. The planning and pa...ssion has not stopped for us and we can’t wait for you to experience our races. Let’s all hope that things can get back to normal and 2020 can still be great. Conquer the Coulee ( obstacle course race ) Sept 5 Union Trail 5k/10k. Sept 6 Mind Sweat and Tears ( adventure race ) Oct 17 We may have a announcement of a new race for the fall. We are just waiting to see how things progress in the coming months. Will let all of you know but for now we have to just wait and see. Please everyone support our sponsors if you can. Well it has come to that time when we need to make decisions. After today’s announcements we are forced to change our dates. We are postponing Conquer the Coulee and Union Trail. The new date for these events will be Sept 5 for Conquer the Coulee and Sept 6 for Union Trail 5K,10K. At this time we are cancelling Union All-terrain scheduled for Aug 1. October 17 will be kept for our Mind Sweat and Tears adventure race. Registrations will automatically be moved to the new dates and more info will be posted soon. We thank all our sponsors and competitors for there support through these crazy times.

Sneak peak. Our medals for the year showed up. Orange medals will be for our OCR events and green for our trail run races. Just waiting for our bronze medals to complete our age group gold, silver, bronze podium awards. This has been quite a year so far and we sure hope we will be giving these out this year. We will do everything in our power to have our races. Fingers crossed.
