Same pose, same outfit, different person - First photo I was at the peak of my physique at the time, I was lifting five days a week. At the time I was very unsure of what I was going to do with my life. Second photo was taken today. Lifting three days a week, working slowly on building my weights back up. When does progress start to show? I get asked this question a lot, honestly it’s a hard one because I can’t give a straight answer in timeframe. Everyone’s progression is going to be different. We all have a different metabolic rate, goals, availability to do exercise, body composition, food restrictions (allergies, preferences, etc), injuries that may prevent us to do certain exercises, lose or gain weight in different areas (genetics does play a role i...n this), etc! Story time My skin hasn’t always been clear like it currently is. This has been a long process to get it this way. When I was in middle school my skin started to break out, so I would cover it with make up to try to make myself feel better as well as just to hide myself. Which by doing this made it even worse, even got made fun of for the amount I wore. I wish I had pictures to show but I was so insecure at this time. I would not leave the house without... make up on or when I was staying at a friends house I wouldn’t even wash my face (The thought of it now grosses me out lol). Then finally a few years after high school I decided to just stop wearing make up in general to get my skin room to breathe which helped, as well as I ended up doing Accutane for quite a few months and that cleared it right up. About seven months after finishing Accutane I found out that I was pregnant and my skin broke out again because of hormones. Flash forward to now I found a routine and balance of food that has helped a lot. One thing I definitely suggest for skin care is less is more The reason I share this story is because 1. Never make fun of anyone if you have no idea what their backstory is 2. Everything doesn’t happen quick but it will be worth it 3. Not one thing fits all skin types body types etc. 4. let’s change our mindset instead of saying I can’t do this > I am going to give it all I got staying away from anything that may be triggering. Also learn to identify those scenarios (may be a type of food, person, place, etc) words of positive affirmation to yourself everyday remember to take a breath (nice long breath in to fill the lunges, hold at the top of that breath for 5 seconds then long exhale like you are blowing out candles) repeat until you feel a...t ease take each day as they are, never dwelling and looking back #mindsetmatters #uniquelyyouhealth #healthylifestyle See more

Squats on squats Important things to remember when it comes to heavy lifting squats: 1. Warm up your muscles before hand 2. Make sure that you squeeze shoulder blades together to keep chest open... 3. Inhale big breath in during the execution and exhale to come up 4. Make sure you set the bar so that you have to bend under it. Putting your trust in someone and being vulnerable about body insecurities and weight struggles is a really difficult thing to do. Taiyler makes it easy. Not only is she so easy to talk and has a literal heart of gold, but also has the educational background and experience to help you reach your goals. From doing FaceTime workouts with me during self isolation to keep my spirit up to answering my never ending list of questions about health and nutrition, Taiyler has been so much more than just a personal trainer. Right off the bat she went out of her way to answer all my questions I had and gave me a safe place to divulge my insecurities. She dedicated her time to me , which is huge because she wanted to. It’s more than a job she actually wants to see your success and your improvement no matter how small. She has been cheering me on through it all, keeping my spirits up, and giving me the tools I need to reach my goals. Something about how she creates the workouts makes working out easier which I know is crazy, the flow of the exercises she gives you just works! She also adapts your plan 110% to your lifestyle, during my plan a shoulder injury started acting up and keeping me from working out which caused my success to slow. Taiyler jumped into action revamping my entire plan to accommodate what I was going through and led me through a ton of shoulder specific stretches to help heal my shoulder. When I wanted to explore yoga for helping increase flexibility and to add to workouts her expertise absolutely blew me away! My weight loss journey will be a slow one, but that’s what will make it last. Through my time with Taiyler I have experienced weight loss benefits, I have lost inches, my flexibility has increased, my strength has increased, and so much more. I thought I wouldn’t begin to feel more comfortable in my own skin till I lost this weight that made me feel like someone else. Although something about feeling strong definitely restores confidence! Just in a short time doing her workouts I felt so strong! I no longer felt trapped in this body and incapable of most activities. I feel capable and determined to reach my goals!
