Rain! After a long spell of scorching heat, our flowers are finally having their thirst quenched.

Back to the Tiny House. Outside is complete (almost) - Andrea just has to do one more coat of stain. Interior coming along slowly because of the many odd configurations, best use of space (time consuming, problem solving). Deadline - end of July.

Happy to be a dad with such a great mum...life is good.

A quick shore lunch at the west end of McPherson Lake on the Lady Evelyn. A great solo week with everything from 30 plus weather to snow squalls and everything ...in between. Black flies just coming out. Water levels - not as high as last year but I had good runs coming downriver...a slug paddling upstream, against a strong headwind, the 34 km back to Chance Lake access (plus the 14 lines & portages, done in a hefty 8 hours; 6 hours going downstream on the way in to Cabin Falls Ecolodge). Beauty Lake road and access road are in good shape with just a couple deep puddles once inside the park boundaries. Will be taking a chainsaw downriver with me to clear out several downed trees (next week). See more
