Thank you to everyone who joined us for our "Build Transit Right" roundtable. It's clear people want transit built in a way that is transparent and keeps communities safe, healthy and moving. Reminder to all: Bill 222 is going through the legislature, and the deadline to provide comments is today at 7pm. To do so, follow this link: ola.org/en/apply-committees.... University-Rosedale is home to a diverse collective of filmmakers, musicians, artists and creatives. But, development pressure, exorbitant rent, evictions, shrinking revenue and COVID-19 are forcing creative spaces and music venues to shut down. Creative cities are inclusive cities and we must fight to keep ours thriving.... This government must step-in and bring real relief to this sector struggling to survive.

University-Rosedale community volunteers dropped off car loads of goods from our Sunday food drive in Rosedale this morning! Thank you to the Rosedale United Church for your support and to the Rosdale community for your generous donations. Thanks to Reverend Maggie Helwig and her team at St. Stephens-in-the Fields Church for your compassion and the care you provide to so many in our community. ... Thank you to the Fort York Food Bank and their volunteers for what you do everyday to alleviate hunger in our city. FYFB reports 230% increase in new clients from the previous year! Let's work together to fight the root causes of poverty and hunger. Everyone deserves a home and enough food. #onpoli #fyfb Church of St. Stephen in-the-Fields

Yesterday, Doug Ford turned his back on renters by voting against my Bill 205 which would have ended vacancy decontrol, put a stop to renovictions and brought in real fines for landlords who illegally event. People deserve to live in homes they can afford in the places they love. We will continue to fight for affordable housing.
