As part of its COVID-19 response, the Government of Canada has funded a nationwide expansion of the 211 service. 211 is a three-digit phone number that can be dialed anywhere in Canada to connect with a live Service Navigator who will listen and identify nearby government and community supports to help with life’s challenges. The service is free, confidential, and available 24 hours a day, in more than 150 languages.
