Check out our latest video: African Cultural Cooking Project: Kenya. Thanks to funding from United Way Waterloo Region Communities!
January is here which means #Thankuary has begun! While we are always deeply grateful for the support of our donors, partners, and volunteers, this month is dedicated to you! Thank you on behalf of our community to everyone who made a donation this holiday season!
2020 was a year most of us never expected. It was filled with challenges, and loss, and struggle. But despite all of this, we also saw generosity beyond compare. We saw love, and kindness, and so many people wanting to support those who found themselves struggling alone. Our funded agencies, and their staff and volunteers continued to work on the frontlines and behind the scenes, to provide support for those most in need. Our workplace partners encouraged generosity and found... new and creative ways to help their community. Our volunteers and staff worked each day to learn and understand the unique struggles in our community, and in turn fight for meaningful change. And you, our donors, showed a spirit of giving that has been a light for all of us this year. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts, and warmest wishes for all of the new year from the United Way WRC team.
Just one more day to give in order to receive your 2020 tax receipt, and make your donation has double the impact (Up to $25,000)! Every dollar you give will go towards supporting people in need, right here in Waterloo Region: http://www.uwaywrc.ca/holiday-giving/
There are so many causes in our community and it can be hard to choose just one to support. Consider giving to our General Community Fund where you can help find local solutions to local social issues. Your gift will be directed across Waterloo Region to agencies working tirelessly in the areas of mental health, food security, and social isolation. Examples include: supports for those at-risk of homelessness, access to food, literacy and training, crisis supports, information referral, collaborative networks, and so much more. Give a gift by Dec 31st to get your 2019 tax receipt and have double the impact at www.uwaywrc.ca/holiday-giving !
COVID-19 has caused more than one critical issue in our community and your support is empowering us to provide more than one solution. Donate before December 31 to receive your 2020 tax receipt, and know that your dollars are helping people in need right here in Waterloo Region.
